The Sundarban Ilish Utsav (also called the Sundarban Hilsa Festival) is an annual culinary and cultural festival celebrated in the Sundarbans region of West Bengal, India. It celebrates the arrival of the prized Hilsa (Ilish) fish during the monsoon season, when it’s in peak catch status and features lots of traditional Hilsa dishes, local cultural programs, folk music and more. Detailed Daywise Itinerary

  • Day 1
    • Breakfast enroute to Sunderbans Arrival at Godkhali Jetty.
    • Departure by Non-AC Boat.
    • Welcome drinks on Board.
    • Journey starts through picturesque rivers like Bidya, Durgadoani etc.
    • Arrival at Sunderban Wild Camp , Dayapur. Check in to the resort.
    • Lunch will serve at resort.
    • In the afternoon Sun set cruise at JOTIRAMPUR Bird Sanctuary.
    • Back to resort followed by Cultural Programme / Get-together with high tea.
    • Dinner.
    • Overnight stay at Resort.
  • Day 2
    • Morning: Bed tea.
    • Breakfast at resort or on Board.
    • Visit Sajnekhali Tiger Project Area.
    • WILDLIFE viewing from watch tower & visit interpretation centre.
    • Enchanting river cruise through dense forest and narrow creeks. (Bon bibi bharani, Sundarkhali, Gajikhali, Chora gajikhali, Ponchommukhani, Pirkhali Creeks), Visit Sudhanyakhali watch tower for WILDLIFE viewing.
    • Lunch on Board.
    • Visit Dobanki Watch-tower.
    • Back to resort.
    • Evening: Cultural Programme / Get-together with high tea.

  • Day 3
    • Morning: Bed Tea.
    • Leisure walk along the bank of the river for bird watching or Visit local village.
